Schematic Design for FM 1570, TxDOT Master Traffic Services, Hunt County, TX
IEA was responsible for the schematic design of FM 1570 in Hunt County, Texas. Services included right-of-way (ROW) research, utility conflict locations, and drainage and hydrologic studies.
IEA performed drainage and hydrologic studies in support of the preparation of the schematic design and environmental impact documentation. IEA studied five major stream crossings around FM 1570. Responsibilities included obtaining and reviewing applicable standards and guidelines from the State of Texas and establishing design criteria based on these standards. IEA converted all previous FEMA Models (HEC-2) into HEC-RAS Models and delineated the limits of the FEMA floodplains on the schematic plans based on the latest information available from FEMA. IEA designed cross-drainage structures using HEC-RAS.
IEA performed ROW research in support of the definition of ROW requirements for the FM 1570 project. This included land ownership determination and preparation of right-of-entry letters. IEA was responsible for showing additional ROW needs on the schematic as necessary.
