Pie Face Event to Support The Stewpot

IEA RAISES FUNDS FOR LOCAL DFW CHARITY FOCUSED ON SERVING HOMELESS AND AT RISK CHILDREN AND ADULTS

As part of the IEA Dallas Company Picnic held September 18th, 2021, the Dallas Events Committee organized a “pie face” event where local staff members donated money for the thrilling opportunity to launch a whipped cream-filled tin into the face of an IEA senior staff member.

Donations for the hysterics-inducing event were proudly given by our Events Committee to Dallas-area non-profit The Stewpot. Serving homeless and at-risk individuals (including youth and children) in Dallas since 1975, The Stewpot has many wonderful programs meant to support those in need including food/meal services, casework assistance, counseling services, rehousing services, rent and utilities assistance, and many others.

IEA chose to use the funds raised to support The Stewpot’s food services program. IEA was able to raise $1000 dollars for the cause and hopes to be able to raise this number in the future!

On Tuesday, September 28th, a member of our Events Committee was able to meet with staff from The Stewpot at their location near Downtown Dallas to deliver our donation and discuss future volunteer opportunities for IEA staff. We are excited to embark on our new relationship with The Stewpot and look forward to supporting them in their journey to provide for homeless and at-risk individuals in the area.
