DART Cotton Belt Commuter Rail Line Design-Build
The Cotton Belt Commuter Rail Line project is a $783M, 26-mile corridor stretching across North Texas from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Plano.
The Cotton Belt is intended to connect the northern areas of Tarrant, Dallas, and Collin counties. Cotton Belt includes 10 total stations and interchanges with the DART Light Rail Orange, Green and Red lines, the TEX Rail commuter line to Fort Worth and local bus services. These stations will be located in Dallas, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson and Plano.
The Cotton Belt project is divided into 3 segments. IEA is responsible for the drainage analysis and design within Segment CB-1, which includes 4 FEMA crossings, 15 cross streets, and 8 miles of drainage along rail line. IEA is also designing 8 bridges, crash walls and retaining walls throughout the 3 segments of the corridor.
